My second visit of the week was to the Sheffield Children's Hospital. I spent most of the day visiting the wards, reading to the children and introducing them to all the characters. It was nice to meet all of the staff, they made me feel so welcome and like part of their team for that day. All the children were amazing and it was nice reading to them, talking about how books are made and even helping them do some of the craft activities that go along with the stories.
Before I left, I gave all of the children a sticker and one of my special ‘Billy’s Adventure’ badges. I also presented the Children’s Hospital with a signed copy of my first book.
What a wonderful day, thank you for the invite and it was lovely getting to meet all of the staff, children and their families.
